It is with the deepest respect and wholehearted enthusiasm that I endorse Diane Knight for the school board. Two of my children had the incredible privilege of being in Mrs. Knight’s kindergarten class—an experience that forever shaped their hearts and minds. To this day, at ages 17 and 14, they still talk about the memories and lessons from her classroom.
A Heartfelt Moment That Says It All
Mrs. Knight doesn’t just teach; she transforms. She calls her kindergarteners her “forever friends”—a title not given lightly, but with genuine love and lifelong commitment. I will never forget the image of her kneeling down on the last day of school, holding each of my boys’ faces in her hands, and telling them they would always be her forever friends. That moment is a perfect reflection of who Diane is: kind, compassionate, empathetic, and honest.

She has lived the real, everyday challenges of education—overcrowded classrooms, flawed policies, and stretched resources—and chose to stay. Not just to endure, but to make a difference. Diane Knight has spent decades changing lives, one five-year-old at a time, and she knows firsthand what our students, teachers, and schools truly need.

We need voices on the school board who have been in the trenches. We need people like Diane—who understand not just policies, but people. Who see the potential in every child. Who bring courage, wisdom, and heart to every decision.
