Teacher burnout is rampant. How will you work to keep our teachers?

My goal is for Aspen Peaks School District to be the top choice for educators at all stages of their career.

  • We can do this by making the classroom our number one priority.
  • We must seek out and value teacher input and address teacher concerns. It is imperative that teachers truly feel seen and heard.
  • We need to show that we value education by retaining step and lane changes for educators, and keeping up with competitive pay and retirement incentives.
  • We must set classrooms up for success by working toward optimal class sizes and using existing Class Size Reduction Program (click link to download pdf) funds in proactive ways.

If you ask any educator, they will tell you that behavior and language issues are among our biggest challenges. Every student who walks in our door is welcome and loved, but some of those students require more supports than others. We MUST have TRAINED aides to provide classroom support so teachers can teach.
